Obsession, the horror sensation directed by debut filmmaker Curry Barker, has transitioned to digital platforms following a phenomenally lucrative run in theaters, where it amassed over $370 million globally despite having a production budget of less than $1 million.
Now accessible for purchase or rental on digital services like Prime Video and Apple TV, Obsession has yet to be included as part of any regular streaming subscription. Prospective viewers must opt to buy or rent the film for now, though a subscription-based streaming release is anticipated to be announced in the near future.
The digital release offers fans additional content, including behind-the-scenes footage and a director’s commentary, enhancing the viewing experience. A physical release on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD is slated for July 14. Moreover, a future streaming debut on Peacock is also on the cards.
